First and foremost I hope you were not injured in either of these instances. 
I share your disgust for drivers who put their conversations ahead common sense safety. 
Red light cameras increase the need to pay attention and phones high light the simple rules.
That&#039;s why I installed a device wired into my third brake light. It makes the thrid brake light flash 
5 times each time the brakes are applied. Trying to be safe when traffic signals are not properly timed
for the traffic flow and speed puts drivers, pedestrians and bicyclist at greater risk.
All in all red light cameras have never saved a life, injury or prevented a crash.
